Alex football offices officially open
ALEXANDRA - The newly built offices of the Alexandra Northrand Local Football Association were officially opened by the current chairperson, Maisha Molepo assisted by two former leaders in Simon Selepe and Moss Selolo.

Speaking at the brief ceremony, which was attended by various members of the football fraternity in Alexandra during the Year End Tournament on 12 December, Molepo expressed gratitude to the City of Johannesburg for building the offices which he said was an indication of its desire to look after and grow football in the township.
“Despite the fact that we still expect much more renovations to be done to the stadium, we are, however, nevertheless grateful for the construction of the offices and its desire to house Alex football,” he said.
Present at the official opening of the offices, which have been built on the south-eastern end of the Alexandra Stadium next to the police station, was City of Johannesburg’s Region E sports official, Mandla Mahlangu, a regular spectator of the beautiful game at the various grounds of Alexandra.
