Bloemfontein to host next Diski festival

JOBURG - From Thembisa to Soweto and now Bloemfontein, is the Vootrekker (pioneering) journey of the MultiChoice Diski Challenge football festivals.

From Thembisa to Soweto and now to Bloemfontein, the journey of the MultiChoice Diski Challenge football festival continues.

The majestic Seisa Ramabodu Stadium in the Voortrekker city of Bloemfontein in the Free State will host the fourth festival on the weekend of 24 and 25 October.

Entrance to the stadium will be free, as usual, but football fans will have to collect their tickets, two per person for each day of the festival, and must produce a South African identity document.

The festivals have proved to be very popular as has been witnessed with high attendance in all three that have taken place so far.

On 24 October, Maritzburg United face up to Mamelodi Sundowns at 10am, while their cross-town rivals, SuperSport United will clash with Orlando Pirates at 12pm. Completing the two-day festival the following day, Free State Stars play Platinum Stars at 10am and Kaizer Chiefs meets Bloemfontein Celtic at 12pm.
