Malandela Mighty heroes continued their excellent form as they won the Alexandra North Rand Local Football Association (ANLFA) U15 Spring Championship by thumping Gunners 4-1 at Victoria Grounds in Lombardy East.

Malandela bullied their way into the finals as they beat every team in front of them, including humbling Rangers Football Club by five goals in the last 16 stage.

Under the guidance of Vincent Rammoni, Malandela has become one of the most feared teams in the ANLFA league. This is their third successive trophy in three months after winning the U15 Maimane Alfred Phiri Games and the Nelson Mandela Day Cup.

Rammoni praised his players for their performance, and said their success was because of all the hard work and discipline they put in, week in and week out.

“The credit must go to the boys and all the staff members, the supporters and everyone who is behind the team,” he said.

“I say a big ups to them and we still want to do more for them. To the players, I just want to say they must not get carried away by these trophies, there is still a long way to go for them.”

The Alexandra Masters Soccer League once again stepped up to sponsor the annual U15 Spring Championship.
