Kwa-Bhekilanga Secondary School put in a convincing performance as they thumped Northview High School at No 3 Square Grounds in Alexandra in their second leg of the Sibusiso Cosmos Zwane Schools Tournament.

This is the first edition of netball games in the tournament, as they did not feature in the inaugural edition of the tournament last year.

In the first game of the day, on 19 August, Sagewood School’s netball team did not arrive for the game which meant it was a walkover for Minerva girls. The netball games run at the same time as the football games every Wednesday and Friday.

Kwa-Bhekilanga hammered Northview girls 20-3 as they dominated all phases of the game, which brought much delight to the supporters.

Hopes were raised after an impressive third quarter, but the damage had been done by the Kwa-Bhekilanga girls. Although Northview fought to the end, they were unable to overcome the deficit.
