All systems go for Soweto derby (WATCH)

JOBURG - The FNB Stadium is ready host the traditional preseason opener between the two Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

The FNB Stadium is ready to host the traditional pre-season opener between the two Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, in the Carling Black Label Cup.

Tickets for the game are sold out and fans have been urged to make their way to the stadium early. Gates will be open from 11am.

Two of South Africa’s house music acts DJ Tira and DJ Oskido will be on the decks at the stadium. There will also be exciting giveaways for those who get there early.

“We can confidently say that we are well on track to staging what we anticipate to be one of the biggest and most memorable football events,” said Carling Black Label general manager, Vijay Govinsamy.

“We have been working tirelessly around the clock in conjunction with all our stakeholders to ensure that the fifth edition of the Carling Black Label Cup gives fans an unforgettable Soweto derby experience.”

Stadium management, together with Gauteng Traffic and Metro police have urged fans to behave on the day.
