Battle for promotion to begin
PARKTOWN - The Premier Soccer League has conducted the draw for the 2014/15 promotion play-offs held at the league's headquarters.
The opening fixture of the play-offs will be on 17 May and all weekend fixtures will kick-off at 3pm while midweek fixtures will kick-off at 7.30pm.
The play-offs will be contested by three clubs, which includes a club that finishes 15th on the Absa Premiership log and the two clubs that finish second and third in the National First Division (NFD).
Draw master Derek Blanckensee of the premier league said the venues and club names will be confirmed in due course once the league business has finished.
“We cannot announce those names now as we do not know which club will be relegated and which one will finish in 15th position on the Absa Premiership, including which of the NFD teams will be second and third respectively,” Blanckensee said.
