JOBURG - The Sandton Convention Centre in the north of Johannesburg will host the 2014/15 Premier Soccer League Awards for a second year in a row.
The Sandton Convention Centre in the north of Johannesburg will host the 2014/15 Premier Soccer League Awards for a second year in a row.
The awards will be hosted on 17 May, a day after the league closure in the form of the Nedbank Cup final in the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium between Ajax Cape Town and former Absa Premiership defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.
The nominees for the awards will be announced on 11 May at the Premier Soccer League headquarters in Parktown at 11am.
The awards evening will also feature some top entertainment, whose details will follow closer to the event.
There are two new added categories under Absa Premiership those being the Absa Premiership Defender of the Season and Absa Premiership Midfielder of the Season. Last season, Bidvest Wits maestro, Sibusiso Vilakazi, stole the show walking away with some of the biggest awards on the night including the Footballer of the Year (voted for by the coaches), Absa Premiership Players’ Player of the Year (voted for by other players) and Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament.
