While Bidvest Wits and Ajax Cape Town will be the opening act of the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals on 10 April, the exciting news is that at least one lower division team is guaranteed passage to the semi-finals.

Following a meeting of the Premier Soccer League Cup Organising Committee, the league has confirmed a number of logistics around the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals, including the dates, venues and ticket prices.

The Nedbank Cup quarterfinals will be played on the weekend of 10, 11 and 12 April and the fixture between the two National First Division (NFD) clubs, Black Leopards and Vasco da Gama at Thohoyandou Stadium in Venda, will be played on 11 April at 3pm.

On the day but later in the evening, SuperSport United will host high-flying NFD outfit, Golden Arrows, at the Peter Mokaba Stadium at 8.15pm, while Mamelodi Sundowns will travel to Nelspruit to play MP Black Aces at the Mbombela Stadium on 12 April, with kick-off set for 3pm.

The match between two NFD sides, Black Leopards and Vasco da Gama guarantees one of the two a berth in the semi-final, while Golden Arrows could slip through if they can conjure a surprise victory over SuperSport.
