Nedbank Cup Safa teams confirmed

JOBURG - Following the sitting of the South African Football Association (Safa) Disciplinary Committee, the two outstanding clubs that will participate in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 stage have been confirmed.

Free State’s Roses United and Gauteng’s Edu Sport have emerged as the two clubs that will play in the round of 32. Edu Sport will face Kaizer Chiefs while Roses United will play against Bloemfontein Celtic. This is according to the draw conducted in Johannesburg in January.

In their matches with their respective opponents, the two teams had problems and had to be hauled before the disciplinary committee along with their opponents, and the two clubs were confirmed as the legitimate teams to participate in the Nedbank Cup.

The two clubs join other six clubs from the Safa Structures. The clubs are Tornado FC from the Eastern Cape, The Magic FC from the Western Cape, and Natal United from KwaZulu Natal, all playing in the ABC Motsepe League.

The others are Bellevue Winners Park from Limpopo, Phiva Young Stars from Mpumalanga, and Mainstay United from the Northern Cape, which ply its trade in the South African Breweries (SAB) League.
