JOBURG - The Premier Soccer League has announced that Durban’s Princes Magogo Stadium will host the Multichoice Diski Challenge quarter-finals.

The Premier Soccer League has announced that Durban’s Princess Magogo Stadium will host the Multichoice Diski Challenge quarter-finals.

The much anticipated quarter-final festival will be played over two days on the weekend of 17 and 18 January next year in Umlazi.

Black Aces, SuperSport United, Platinum Stars, Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, University of Pretoria, Bloemfontein Celtic and Polokwane City have all qualified for the last eight of the competition.

All quarter-final fixtures will be live on SuperSport. Ticketing and logistics information will be released in due course.

The fixtures are as follows: On 17 January, SuperSport United vs Platinum Stars at 10am; Orlando Pirates vs University of Pretoria at noon. On 18 January, Bloemfontein Celtic vs Black Aces at 10am and Mamelodi Sundowns vs Polokwane City at noon.

The challenge, which is a Reserve League that involves 16 teams from the Absa Premiership, is MultiChoice’s flagship corporate responsibility programme in partnership with the premier league.

It includes life skills and leadership development of the young players and up to 43 internships for aspiring content producers at SuperSport, gaining on-field experience in broadcasting, running a weekly magazine show, as well as an opportunity to receive academic scholarships.
