Coaching sessions lauded for Alex teams’ win
ALEXANDRA - The technical director of Alex football Mxolisi Mngomezulu has lauded the local coaching sessions following the crowning of Alex squads of both boys and girls as champions of the Safa Johannesburg Region.
The technical director of Alexandra Northrand Local Football Association, Mxolisi Mngomezulu has lauded the coaching sessions it holds.
This follows the crowning of boys and girls Alex teams as champions of the Safa Johannesburg Region.
The all conquering Alex teams won the tournament which involved the teams of Deep South, Eldorado Park, Greater Mayfair, Midrand, Orange Farm, Soweto, Rand Central and Roodepoort on 28 September at Mayfair’s Arthur Block Park Stadium.
The coaching sessions are held at Three Square sports facility where coaches are given tips on various aspects of coaching, and also share ideas and exchange views.
“I believe it is these coaching sessions which have played a pivotal role in the wins that we’re celebrating as Alex football,” he said. “I am saying this because it has become evident even in our local leagues that coaches who attend these sessions have become winners too at home.
“We deliberately decided to use the coaches from these sessions in this particular tournament as we have seen the dividends being reaped in the local clubs, and this paid off handsomely as they came back with the trophies in both the boys and girls sections.”
Mngomezulu also attributed the teams’ wins to a collective effort by the technical staff, the football association and the management of Three Square sports facility.
