A Good Samaritan came to the rescue of Rangers Football Club after one of its coaches, Lee Ndhlovu lost a bag of the team’s soccer kit in a taxi.

Hollard Insurance’s, Romy Nomis donated soccer kit to the Rangers U17 and U20 senior teams, which included 16 pairs of socks, two pairs of goalkeepers’ jerseys, 14 pairs of shorts, and 12 pairs of shirts.

Nomis said the soccer kits were items recovered from insurance claims and the company thought they should be passed onto teams that would make good use of them.

“I then thought of my old friends in the Rangers football team, whom I have previously given training cones, bibs and other items as well,” said Nomis after handing over the items to Ndhlovu.

“We shall put the kit into good use, bearing in mind that I had the misfortune of losing an entire club kit when I boarded a taxi home soon after our normal training sessions,” said Ndhlovu.

Ndhlovu appealed to other companies for donations. “We desperately need soccer boots for our teams and such a donation will be greatly appreciated.”
