LFA secretary general Malvin Khumalo confirmed that reports had been received from the referee on the day and from both teams, with Arsenal taking full responsibility for what transpired on the pitch on the day.
Khumalo told Alex News the matter has already been referred to the LFA’s Disciplinary Committee, which is yet to set a date for the hearing, after which it will make a pronouncement in terms of a ruling on the outcomes of the case.

Soon after the referee blew his whistle for half-time, two players from Arsenal exchanged blows on the pitch. This prompted the referee to rush to the scene to red-card both players. One of them left the field, threatening that he was going to mobilise a mob, which left the referee with no option but to abandon the game in fear of the safety of all that had come to watch the match.

When the match was called off, Amajananda was leading 3–1. The side is a returnee to the league, after it was relegated from the Johannesburg Men’s Regional League in its maiden season last year.
