President Malema? No thanks

JULIUS Malema wants to be State President.

Yes, the maverick one sent packing with his tails between his legs by the ANC and stands accused of money laundering and tax evasion wants to lead the country of FW de Klerk and the legendary Nelson Mandela. The gods must be crazy indeed.

A little research will show him that Bantu Holomisa, Mosiuoa Lekota and Mbhazima Shilowa had presidential ambitions too.

The Economic Freedom Fighters leader hates white South Africans, period. In his small mind, it is because of his paler compatriots that he does not own land or mine.

To level the playing field, Malema feels the land must be seized without compensation and mines nationalised.

Malema share the views of many in his criticism of the ANC, the party that introduced him to politics. But Mandela and the real freedom fighters never fought recklessly and without a purpose.

A giant has been born, so he thinks of his political party. Yeah, right – so did United Democratic Movement and Congress of the People.

Holomisa and Lekota thought they had created giants too, but they are small puppies with little bark nor bite in Parliament.

Malema will definitely not be President and will be lucky to get a parliamentary seat. Not all barking dogs have teeth.

Even Helen Zille, whose Democratic Alliance is the second biggest political party in South Africa, has never publicly declared her presidential ambitions.
