The founder of the Mr & Miss Alexandra Heritage Hlehle Ngubane is appealing to the community in Alex n beyond to come to the rescue of the elderly with donations or sponsorship of dresses for the event which is to held at the East Bank Hall in Alexandra on September 16.
Ngubane said most of the participants come from disadvantaged backgrounds and your help will go a long way.
She said the NPO has about 40 beneficiaries in need of plus size evening dress for the seniors event most of whom are over 65 years old.
“We are also in need of meat, maize meal, samp, potatoes, carrots, beans in tomato sauce, mayonnaise, refreshments etc and we would like to give our winner something special and it can be a gift card or voucher and goodie bags for all the beneficiaries,” Ngubane said.
