EFF celebrates its 10-year anniversary with a spectacular carnival

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) marks a huge milestone as they celebrate its 10 years

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) recently marked a significant milestone as they celebrate 10 years of fighting for social justice as a Pan-Africanist and Marxist–Leninist political party.

To commemorate their decade of political activism and social justice advocacy EFF played host to a lively carnival that brought together supporters, party members and citizens from across Johannesburg. The carnival served as a platform to reflect on the party’s accomplishments, rally its base, and ignite a renewed sense of purpose for the future.

Commenced at Alexandra Stadium in San Kopano, and destined at Mushroom Farm Park where a music concert was held, commander in chief Julius Malema and deputy commander Floyd Shivambu led the troops of red fighters on foot from Alexandra to Sandton.

“Today I will not be addressing you or talking too much because this day is just a day of celebration. Those who are here and also those who are not here should come on 29th of July at FNB Stadium. Come all of you, even those who are at home, please tell them we are making history on that day,” Malema said.

Upon arrival at Mushroom Park, the carnival grounds were transformed into a festive and colourful atmosphere, complete with stages for live performances by the likes of Ntando Duma, Abathandwa, Young Stunna, Lady Amar, etc.

The EFF’s 10-year anniversary carnival was a vibrant and energetic celebration that encompassed the party’s core values of economic freedom, social justice, and political empowerment. The event spanned for the entire day offering a wide array of activities and entertainment for attendees of all ages.

“Today we are here to celebrate the EFF as one of the leading political parties that has been fighting for our rights especially us as black people. When I heard about the carnival, I honestly could not miss it because I love the party and today, we were promised a good day and braaied meat,” one of the supporters Noluvo Mzazi said.
