Well wishes pour in for Alex’s matrics

The Alexandra Parliamentary Constituency Office led by Gauteng Member of the Provincial Legislature Pinky Mncube has wished the Matric Class of 2022 good luck as they begin their final examinations.

The Alexandra Parliamentary Constituency Office on Monday (24 October 2022) visited the five high schools in Alexandra to wish the Matric Class of 2022 well as they begin to write their final matric examinations today [October 31].

The schools visited are Minerva, Realogile, East Bank, KwaBhekilanga, and Alexandra High School and this created the opportunity for the Member of the Provincial Legislature deployed at the Alexandra PCO Pinkie Mncube to lead a delegation to wish all matriculants the best of luck and for a positive outcome for the upcoming examinations.

The PCO officials were accompanied by some of the stakeholders in the township such as the Gauteng Department of Education District, the South African National Civics Organisation (SANCO), the South African Communist Party (SACP), the Green-door and the Alexandra Community Policing Forum (CPF).

The Gauteng MEC for Education Matome Chiloane, who was part of the delegation, described the Matric Class of 2022 as the most disadvantaged cohort of pupils amid rolling power cuts, water shortages and service delivery disruptions.

“With that being said, we would like to wish all learners to take their studies seriously. We also want them to draw inspiration from the wise words of our former President Nelson Mandela, who once said; ‘Education is the only important weapon which you can use to change the world’.”

In this regard we wish all learners all the best of luck and urge them to do their ultimate best,” Chiloane said.
