Jukskei’s big fish back in familiar waters in Alex after a sojourn in the Midrand wilderness

ActionSA’s Ward 105 PR Councillor Shadrack Mkhonto, better known now as Mr Actionair, is back in Alexandra after a sojourn in the wilderness of Midrand to promote the party.

The big fish of the Jukskei River has returned to its familiar river territory after close to a year’s deployment to the wilderness of Midrand.

Shadrack Mkhonto, a hard-working former Democratic Alliance PR councillor in Alexandra now in the stable of ActionSA, was deployed to Midrand early this year in a bid to get him to make things happen for the Actioners in that region of the City of Johannesburg as Action was a bit sleepy for them.

When Mkhonto crossed the floor just a few months before the Local Government Elections last November, he immediately swelled the ranks of ActionSA, prompting his party leader Herman Mashaba to deploy him in Midrand to go and awaken the sleeping Action there.

Off he went in March to Midrand and immediately put his charm into Action and got the required numbers but unfortunately, Action in Alex on the other hand started to go to sleep and prompted members to put pressure on ActionSA for Mkhonto’s return to the Jukskei.

He has since returned to Alex as of October and said, “I found Midrand a disgruntled lot since none of them made it to the PR list and they decided to go to sleep. By mid-April, Midrand was alive again and Action back in action and things were now happening and branches formed.”

When he packed his bags for Midrand, Mkhonto said ActionSA began to bore brunt of the departure of the man who had become known as the ‘Mascot’ of Alexandra as the party was no longer visible.

“The big fish is back at its familiar territory in the Jukskei River, and watch this space, Action will start to happen. I am happy to be back in my familiar waters,” Mkhonto told Alex News.
