This latest superstore officially opened on November 22, in time to accommodate early festive season shoppers. The retail store is expected to be followed by a Boxer Liquor store that’s ready to open as soon as the municipality signs off on Boxer’s liquor licence to sell alcohol from the premises.

Established in 1977, Boxer evolved over the years and has now emerged as a national retail giant offering lower prices to previously disadvantaged communities.
Boxer communications specialist Jason McCall said the store had moved to this new location in the brand’s efforts to supply South African shoppers with quality groceries and value-added services in convenient areas that customers can access more easily.

“The opportunity arose after a decision was taken to move our Alex store to an even better location that our shoppers love and find more convenient,” McCall said. “We listened, and now we offer them an even greater Boxer shopping experience.”

McCall added Boxer was truly blessed and fortunate to be able to serve shoppers across South Africa in communities as supportive as Alexandra, thanking residents for their continued support over the years.
“Alexandra is one of the communities where we are incredibly grateful to offer our services, deals and promotions, to shoppers every day. Without you, we would not be here, and we are proud to always give our best to you, whether in price, or service, and always with a smile.”
