Sanca’s Career Day educates Bovet learners about substance abuse

Career Day at Bovet Primary School educates learners about substance abuse through informative discussions and live performances.

Sanca Central Rand Alexandra recently hosted a Career Day event at Bovet Primary School to educate learners about substance abuse awareness.
The day saw an entertaining atmosphere, featuring performances by popular artists Viktor Matoto and TPK TrapMash.

The Career Day brought together a diverse group of professionals, including teachers, healthcare workers and community leaders, who shared their insights and experiences with the learners.

Through informative presentations and interactive discussions, the speakers emphasised the importance of making informed choices and understanding the impact of substance abuse on individuals and communities.

Sanca community development social worker Tebogo Somo said, “We are thrilled with the turnout and the impact of this event. By combining education with entertainment, we engaged the students in a way that kept them excited and attentive. Our goal is to empower these young minds to make positive choices for their futures.”

Throughout the day, participants attended workshops covering various topics, including the dangers of substance abuse, coping mechanisms, and the significance of goal setting.

The interactive format encouraged learners to engage with speakers and the featured artists, ensuring a well-rounded and memorable learning experience.
“The artists helped bridge the gap between education and entertainment, resonating with the learners and leaving a lasting impact.

“Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many students expressing newfound inspiration and interest in pursuing careers that positively contribute to their communities.”
