Drawing from her own experiences of not having the dream dress, Skhosana has launched a Matric Dance Dress Drive to provide 50 deserving girls and boys with the elegant attire they need to feel beautiful and confident on their big night.

“I didn’t have the luxury of finding that perfect dress for my matric dance. We didn’t have the funds, so I had to settle for whatever I could find last minute. That disappointment inspired this project, I want to ensure that no girl or boy ever feels like they have to settle on such a special occasion.

“While I’m leading this initiative independently, I’d greatly appreciate any donations of dresses, suits, shoes, accessories and the involvement of beauticians or barbers who can offer their services. This support would go a long way in making our initiative impactful for the students we’re helping,” she said.
But Skhosana’s vision extends beyond just providing clothing. “I want each student to feel confident and special on their big night, whether through a beautiful dress or a sharp suit.”
Skhosana is identifying high-achieving learners from underprivileged backgrounds and collaborating with local schools to ensure her support reaches those who are both deserving and in need.
“This initiative is a testament to the power of giving back. By creating a culture of generosity and support, we can transform lives and set a precedent for compassion in our society.”
