Rough Inside duo woos the crowds at Alexandra Stadium

Alexandra's Rough Inside duo performs in front of the fully packed Alexandra Stadium with a large crowd during the EFF rally making this their second biggest crowd following their last performance at FNB Stadium at the party's 10th anniversary celebration.

The Rough Inside duo of Kamogelo ‘Kairo Roughly’ Moqayi and Aphiwe ‘Logo Roughly’ Mankayi recently took their talents to an electrifying new height, performing in front of a packed Alexandra Stadium during the EFF rally on April 27.

The Rough Inside duo Kamogelo ‘Kairo Roughly’ Moqayi and Aphiwe ‘Logo Roughly’ Mankayi belt out their songs Beke le Beke and Sbahle at the EFF rally at Alexandra Stadium.

This monumental event marks their second largest performance to date, following closely behind their unforgettable performance at the FNB stadium where they performed in the celebration of the EFF’s 10th anniversary.

Moqayi said, “We performed our two songs titled Beke le Beke and Sbahle and the crowd showed love in a gigantic way, screaming their lungs out and singing the songs along with us. This is the second best performance we have had so far with such a large crowd following our last performance at the EFF 10th anniversary celebration at FNB Stadium where there was 90 000.”

He added that it was a breakthrough for them to perform for the people from their township because they had never got a chance to.

“In most cases, we are booked outside of Gauteng and our fans from Alex have been complaining that we are always out and they never got to experience our electrifying performance. I think all that happens because we are not given a chance to represent ourselves this side while event organisers know the impact we have when we are on stage,” Moqayi said.

The duo worked themselves to the bone pushing their brand and fighting to get recognised and heard in the music industry, and their hard work is finally paying off. But the work does not end there for them as they are still looking for greener pastures that could set them up for life.

“We’re hoping that someone can discover us, aid us and elevate our careers because it’s been 10 years since we started making good music for the good people.”
