The tournament will commence on April 18 with the final set to be played at the Alexandra Stadium on June 1. The format is not a knockout competition but is so designed to allow all schools to play against one another.
“Our idea for this tournament is to push social upliftment and education, so this project goes nicely with those two key pillars. We want to do our best to develop our kids through sport which we believe provides discipline and structure and also comes with a part of socialising,” said EMDT trustee James Maboa.

“This is the time for those who are gifted in the field of play to showcase their talent. Sport teaches these children the principles and values of life which include discipline and teamwork meaning these children will be socialising,” Sehlapelo said.
