Hotspot areas for flooding in Johannesburg North

The Johannesburg Roads Agency has provided tips to stay safe this rainy season.

With the recent storm, Johannesburg Roads Agency has provided hotspots for areas susceptible to flooding.

JRA works closely with emergency services and other city entities, including Public Safety, Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD), Emergency Management Services (EMS) and Disaster Management, Johannesburg Water, Joburg City Parks and Zoo (JCPZ), and Environmental Infrastructure Services Department (EISD).

JRA urges the public to:

  • Drive cautiously and avoid flooded areas.
  • Report any road damage or blockages immediately.
  • Stay informed about weather warnings and advisories.
  • Regional standby teams are constantly monitoring and responding to any flooding emergencies, and the public is encouraged to contact the depot closest to them:
