WATCH: CBD experiences yet another explosion
The cause of the explosion is still unknown.
At around 15:30 on September 5, an explosion occurred on the corner of Bertha and De Korte streets in Braamfontein.

Reports suggest that an explosion in the gas pipeline caused the incident. Nana Radebe-Kgiba, Joburg EMS spokesperson has confirmed that the fire has been put out. She added that Egoli Gas officials were working close to the building when it caught fire.
