Digify Africa prepares youth for a digital future

Digify Africa is calling on the youth to register for an online training competence that will give them skills to enable them to take full advantage of the country's digital economy.

Alex youth has been urged to take advantage and apply for Digify Africa’s Digify Pro Online which is a training initiative that strives to prepare the youth for a digital future.

Digify Pro Online is said to give young people demand-driven digital training that enables the youth to access employment and entrepreneurship in the digital industries. The programme offers an alternative learning platform for youth with limited access to traditional learning channels as part of Digify Africa’s efforts to promote wider youth participation in the digital economy.
Qhakaza Mohare, Digify Africa COO, said through theoretical and practical training, unemployed youth are taught modules to develop a holistic understanding of the digital marketing industry.

Palesa Dladla is one of the participants of the 2022 Digify Africa’s Digify Pro Online training programme.

The course covers social media, content marketing, digital marketing, web design with WordPress, introduction to eCommerce, data-led decision-making, and digital entrepreneurship.
She said the one that’s unique about Digify Pro Online is the flexible learning model that allows participants to learn at their own pace, in their own time. With the guidance of expert trainers, Mohare said participants are tested through weekly assessments and live client briefs set by leading brands and agencies. And once they’ve successfully completed their training, they receive assistance securing internships, entry-level roles, or freelance opportunities, Mohare added.

“Our goal with Digify Pro Online is to help young people leverage economic opportunities for employment or entrepreneurship. We believe investing in upskilling youth is essential to the growth of South Africa’s digital economy,” Mohare added.
Applications are open for unemployed youth between 18–35 years old and close on February 28.
