Twin killed in house robbery

Valuable items were taken in a house robbery that left a twin dead in Alex.

A twin brother was shot dead while his sibling was unscathed during a house robbery in Alex’s 19th Avenue in the early hours of May 23.

Alexandra Police Station Commander Brigadier Lindiwe Magudulela said police were notified of the incident and on their arrival, they found a man lying on his bed with a gunshot wound to his stomach and an empty cartridge on the floor.
“According to the deceased’s twin brother, the three unknown suspects wearing black, gained entrance while they were sleeping and they switched on the light and demanded money from them.

“The suspects took an amount of about R265, a television, iPhone, Samsung 830 and Blackberry cellphone. After robbing them the suspected ordered them to be quiet and one suspect shot the deceased in the left side of his stomach.”
“The surviving twin called the ambulance and the police immediately after they [suspects] left and his brother was declared dead by the emergency medical services.”
