Suspect steals items worth R14 000
No arrests have been made in connection with a robbery in a home in Far East Bank.
Alex police received a complaint about a house robbery in Sithuthuzi Street, Ext 8, Far East Bank, on May 21 at about 02:30.
Alex Police Station Commander Brigadier Lindiwe Magudulela said, “The complainant alleged that he was sleeping with his girlfriend when he heard a sound at the door and woke up. Suddenly, he saw an unknown male pointing a gun at him. The man told him to go back to sleep and shut up. His girlfriend was also awake by that time and she hid under the blanket.”
He added the suspect took two laptops valued at R7 000, a Sansui TV 55 inch valued at R3 500, a Huawei cellphone valued at
R3 500 and a Hisense cellphone. The suspect locked them inside the house and left.
“No arrests have been made yet.”
