Alex Water Warriors received donations of cleaning material from ENSafrica at the Jukskei River.
The cleaning materials included 20 garden rakes, 20 face masks, 30 pairs of safety gloves and 27 green refuse bags.
Lebogang Nthane, who is deputy chairperson of the Alex Water Sanitation and Environmental Forum, said they were happy to receive the donations as this will go a long way in assisting the work being done by the Water Warriors.
“I just wish most businesses and the government also can see and recognise the warriors for the change they bring to the Jukskei River. I would appreciate it if the surrounding areas that are also affected by the state of the river would come and help us with food parcels, donations for the warriors, and the equipment.”
