58-year-old man found under bed arrested for rape in Alexandra
The 58-year-old man confessed to having sexual intercourse with the 22-year-old.
A 58-year-old man was arrested on March 13 by Alexandra police after he was found hiding under a bed after allegedly raping a disabled woman in a house on 15th Avenue.
According to Alexandra police spokesperson Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha, the mother of the victim said that when her and her husband came home, they knocked on the door because they had left their 22-year-old disabled daughter home alone but she did not answer.
“Their daughter then shouted and they forcefully got inside the house. The victim’s parents then asked her if she was alone and she responded and said yes she was alone. The complainant’s husband then proceeded to search the house and found the man under the bed.”
The 58-year-old man confessed to having sexual intercourse with the 22-year-old and was arrested.
