Security guard assaulted and robbed at local clinic
ALEX – He said the men assaulted and robbed the security guard of her Samsung A31 cellphone.
Police detectives are investigating a robbery and malicious damage to property after a security guard at one of the clinics was a victim during a strike by security guards.
The incident happened on March 8 at about 13:00.
Alexandra police spokesperson Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha said the strike was staged by security officers who are demanding that security officers be insourced by the government.
“The complainant said that she was on duty when two white Quantums stopped and two men came out asking where the security guards were. The complainant alleges that the men were carrying sticks and bricks. They started throwing them at the [company’s] windows, damaging them.”
He said the men assaulted and robbed the security guard of her Samsung A31 cellphone.
Mbatha said no one had been arrested but an investigation was ongoing.
