Water tank up at Children’s Library in Alex

ALEXANDRA -– Assistant director for the water sector support in the department Shoki Malepe delivered the tank.

The Department of Water and Sanitation, in partnership with the Alex Water Sanitation and Environmental Community Forum along with donor Heineken, installed another water tank at the 3rd Avenue Children’s Library in Alexandra.

The donation was made through a departmental programme known as NGO Water Aid that was a springboard of the Covid-19 pandemic. It seeks to assist poor communities to comply with the protocols of constant washing of hands.

Secretary of the forum Thabo Mopasi said the tank was installed on February 27 to help the children who use the library comply with Covid-19 protocols. The department’s assistant director for the water sector supports Shoki Malepe was on hand to deliver the tank.
