A 28-year-old woman was a victim of a house robbery when she was visiting her sister on February 8 in Alexandra.
According to Alexandra Police Station spokesperson Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha, the complainant said that the incident happened at about 02:20am.
“The complainant said they (her sister and her daughter) were sleeping when they were woken up by a loud bang on the door. Shortly after that, two men entered their room with firearms. They pointed the firearms at them and instructed them to sleep and not make a sound while they robbed them.”
Mbatha added the complainant said they took her sister’s cellphone which is worth R3 800 and a toiletry bag.
No one was injured and no one has been arrested.
