Missing Phasha brother brought back home in Alex

ALEXANDRA – Phasha was brought home by social workers from the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto.

An Alexandra man that went missing from the Helen Joseph Hospital on December 18 has been reunited with his family.

According to a family member, Mbokodo Lawrence Phasha (63), who suffers from dementia, was brought home by social workers from the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.

The Phasha family member in Alexandra welcomed the return of their brother although he had facial bruises that could not be accounted for.

“When he was brought home, there were no elderly people who could have sought clarity on his injuries and how he came to be the hospital,” the family member said.

A missing person’s report had been opened at the Brixton Police Station and the family member said they will follow up with the hospital to establish how their brother came to be at the hospital.
