The Johannesburg East District of Education is understood to have dispatched some of its officials to Pholosho Junior Secondary School to resolve a yet unspecified dispute at the school that has seen teachers not in class and parents milling outside the school.
EFF and ANC members are said to have joined the gathering outside the school as well.
According to Alex educational issues monitor Thabo Mopasi, the issues are believed to revolve around some SGB members who have overstayed in their positions in the school despite the fact they no longer have any children at the school.
This is a developing story and more information will be relayed as soon clarity is obtained.
