Man found burning to death at a dumping site in Extension 8, Alexandra

Police detectives are investigating a murder case that took place on January 2 at a dumping site in Extension 8 at about 12:20pm.

According to the police spokesperson Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha, the police received information about a person on fire at a dumping site that is adjacent to the Jukskei River.

“When the police arrived, they found an unknown male burning to death. They tried their best to extinguish the fire but the deceased was already dead at the time. The victim is unknown and the motive is also still unknown,” explained Mbatha.

An investigation is underway.
