Alex councillors announced

Alexandra’s councillors have been announced following the November 1 municipal elections 2021.

The ANC swept the boards in all the wards it controlled previously, including the one that had one of the history-making independent candidates in the township, Nkele Galedzana.

Galedzana, a former ANC member turned independent candidate, was trounced by incumbent councillor Livhuwani Sannie Mavhona.

The rest of the ANC councillors were returned to their positions, with the exception of Ward 107 which has a new councillor, Floyd Nhlakanipho Ngwenya, the youngest councillor at 25 years.
