It has been 27 years since Business Unity South Africa committed itself to building a better South Africa for all.
This year, the civil unrest in July reminded us of just how far we have to go to heal the divisions of the past; lay foundations for a democratic and open society; improve the quality of life for all citizens; and build a united South Africa.
The future of South Africa is up to us. The country we build starts with the country we recognise, promote, engage and put our efforts into. Let’s give future South Africans something to inherit, by honouring that responsibility. It starts with simple, positive action that builds a better South Africa.
Volunteer, donate, support local businesses, take pride in where you live and work, and commit to big and small acts of kindness. Post and share any activity that promotes social cohesion and goodwill, using the hashtag #ThisIsUs.
