Galedzana believes victory in Alex’s Ward 75 is hers

ALEXANDRA – Alexandra is retrogressing and we need to fight hard to change this scenario, says Galedzana.

In similar fashion when she was a member of the ANC, Ward 75 independent candidate Nkele Galedzana plans to host her mini Siyaqoba (victory is ours) rally in her ward.

In an interview with Alex News, Galedzana (26) said plans were afoot to hold the rally on October 29, three days before the country goes to the polls for the November 1 Local Government Elections 2021.

The following day, Galedzana said she would hold a family day gathering, which she said would place emphasis on the rebuilding of family values and systems that she believed have been greatly diminished over the years.

“We are living in a broken society with broken families and value systems that need urgent repair. It’s no wonder why we have such a high murder rate in the world, and it’s all because of broken value systems.

“We need to foster the family environment in the ward in the hope that it would rub off on other wards in the township and snowball to the entire city of Johannesburg and maybe, one day, take the country by storm,” said Nkele, who described herself as ‘not scared of taking the bull by the horns’.

For 27 years, Galedzana said the residents of Alexandra have been given promises after promises from the government with little if any action at all. “Look at Soweto, it’s highly developed, clean, leafy and a miniature suburb. Alex is retrogressing and we need to fight hard to change this scenario.”
