Alex actress turns saviour of marriages on the rocks

JOBURG – Besides saving marriages, Buthelezi uses her residency to groom up-and-coming dance and drama youngsters.

Distinguished Alex dance queen, actress and TV presenter Nomsa Buthelezi is living her dream of being the saviour of marriages on the rocks.

The Alex born and bred star who features in various DStv shows such as Moja Love, is using her most powerful tool of being an influencer on social media platforms to console, heal and motivate couples that are on the brink of a nasty divorce, and repair their relationships.

Speaking in an interview with Alex News during the launch of a ‘DStv Internet on Us’ media event on September 28, Buthelezi boasted of having saved numerous marriages, not just of ordinary South Africans but including what she said were high profile figures and couples.

Besides saving numerous marriages on social media platforms, Buthelezi uses her Mandela Yard residency on 7th Avenue to conduct dance and drama sessions. The sessions are designed to polish and nurture while at the same time teach young children valuable career options in the arts industry.

Buthelezi answered her calling in the arts at the tender age of 13. “At 15 years, I started my professional career in theatre which now spans close to five decades,” Buthelezi said, adding that she was now also into content creation for other social media platforms such as TikTok and YouTube.

Buthelezi is one of the top local content creators who have partnered with DStv Internet, a fixed wireless access service to provide connectivity for its customers through the use of a Sim card and Wi-Fi router.

This is said to be a perfect option for customers without fibre in their homes but are keen on accessing the internet on a regular basis using various devices in the home.

As part of the partnership, DStv and its ambassadors will help connect more unconnected South Africans to the internet through the DStv Internet offering.

The DStv Internet ambassadors are set to roll out various activations and experiences in the coming months that will not only delight their communities but also raise awareness around safe, enjoyable and productive internet usage.
