Jovislash back with another hit song

ALEXANDRA – I am not a preacher but music is what I do best, says Jovislash.

Multi-talented artist Thuso Mogotsi, better known as Jovislash aka ‘Inkosi Yama Punch-paragraph’, has recently blessed the streets of Alex with a new hit song accompanied by visuals.

The title of the hit song is Ramasedi meaning God, which serves as a message of hope to South Africa and the world after the recent unrest.

According to Jovislash, the song is a prayer and features singers Char Monedi and Toto Mtobo.

“I specially dedicate this song to people who are going through a difficult time and are suffering in this current moment.

“People are depressed, starving, dying, and some have lost their jobs. The world needs to pray and find some sort of comfort through music.

“I’m not a preacher but music is what I do best,” he said.

The aftermath of the lootings and riots that prevailed in South Africa was what inspired him to write the song.

He told Alex News that South Africa was currently going through a difficult period, and people were struggling to put food on their tables.

“It has been a tough year so far, and most people find comfort in music and prayer during such times.”

Besides music, the Aya Kwini hitmaker is also a radio host, actor, comedian, musician, and film producer.

Jovislash is a musician who is always in touch with current affairs. His series of releases have helped him become a national sensation by turning real issues and events into radio hit songs.

The 32-year-old has devoted his life to music production, specialising not only in hip-hop but also in house, amapiano, electro, dub and kwaito.

As a comedian, Jovislash has his own YouTube channel and infuses music, comedy, and social issues to uplift, educate and empower the community.

Growing up in Alexandra, he was influenced by his former mentor and childhood hero, the late Nkululeko ‘Flabba’ Habedi.
