Goods taken from delivery vehicle in Alexandra

ALEX – Alexandra Police Station’s spokesperson Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha said that once the goods were offloaded, the complainant's vehicle was returned to him and he was allowed to leave, unharmed.

Detectives are searching for six suspects in connection with stolen merchandise in Alexandra.

Alexandra Police Station’s spokesperson Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha said the complainant reported that he was inside his vehicle after delivering a parcel near 10th Avenue, on 22 April at about 1.45pm, when he was approached by two male suspects. “One of the suspects pointed a firearm at him and ordered him to come out of the vehicle. He was forced inside the back of the bakkie in the canopy,” explained Mbatha.

Mbatha said that four male suspects then joined the other two. The suspects drove to an unknown address where all the goods were offloaded. The complainant said his vehicle was then returned to him and he was allowed to leave, unharmed. He did not know the value of the stolen goods.

The suspects are unknown and have no arrests have been made yet.
