Joburg Water has released a statement regarding a water outage affecting Alexandra, Kew and Lombardy.
The water outage started on 1 May and was caused by a faulty valve at the Ranjieslaagte Reservoir according to Joburg Water.
Joburg Water has alerted residents that Rand Water will be isolating the water supply at the depot as the 600mm valve needs to be replaced. They are currently busy with repairs.

I mean why couldn't you tell us the truth yesterday. So that we prepare ourselves

This is crazy. So what where you doing the whole weekend giving us updates that your are fixing and opening the water. Ok now that you were waiting for checkers to open so you can buy spare parts, when should we expect water???

The update doesn’t indicate that the situation started on Saturday morning and now almost 3 days later someone has realised a valve needs to be replaced. And always no eta. There is no sla and no accountability. @GeoffMakhubo are you not concerned?

What exacty does this mean , are you stating that we will not have water again for the next 3 days or …..

This is what we should have been told, not the run around you were giving us. With useless pics and lies.
