Police detectives are investigating an attempted murder that left a young man with a gunshot wound to his neck on 22 April.
The complainant alleged that he and his brother were sleeping in different rooms when his brother woke him up saying that there was a group of people banging on the door and breaking the security gate.
“They both went closer to the door to observe and investigate. They heard people outside shouting that they must open,” said Mbatha.
Mbatha added that one suspect kicked the door open and the brothers threw pots and pans at him preventing him from entering.

The suspect fired twice into the house hitting the younger brother in his neck.
The suspects left the scene empty-handed.
The victim was taken to a local clinic for medical treatment.
