Detectives are investigating a business robbery case at a popular store in Alex where suspects pretended to be customers before robbing the store.
Alexandra police spokesperson Simphiwe Mbatha said the complainant claimed she was at work at Alex Plaza assisting customers when four men entered the store, joined the queue and one of them started to complain about the service.
“They then took out firearms, threatened customers and instructed the victim to open the till and R12 965 in cash was taken. One of the suspects opened a door to the back of the store with a crowbar and instructed another employee to open a safe where cell phones were taken,” said Mbatha.
