Detectives are investigating a business robbery that took place on 23 February.
Alexandra Police Station spokesperson Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha said the complainant who works as a security guard said she was on duty working at the main door when five men approached her.

“One of them took out a silver firearm, cocked it and told the guard to go inside the shop,” said Mbatha.
Mbatha added that the men ordered the customers to go back inside the shop while ordering the cashiers to open the tills.

“They then took the money from four tills amounting to R8 500. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported,” said Mbatha
The suspects were still at large. An investigation was still underway.
