Police search for four suspects involved in a business robbery

Alexandra police are in search of four male suspects who were allegedly involved in a business robbery at the corner of 10th Avenue and Rooth Street at Nobuhle Hostel, at about 2.30am on 22 November.

The complainant who is a security guard, alleged that he was on duty when he heard footsteps and he saw four men, one of whom pointed a firearm at him, said Alexandra Police Station spokesperson, Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha.

“He was told to cooperate otherwise they would shoot him. They tied him with shoelaces and wire on his hands and feet.

“The suspects gained entry by cutting the fence. A business robbery case has been opened for further investigation.”

Mbatha said items to the value of R28 700 were stolen.
