Ex-boyfriend rapes woman in Alex

ALEX – The victim said she was pushed outside the house after she was raped.

A rape case has been opened at the Alexandra Police Station on 29 October following a rape incident that occurred at Stjwetla informal settlement in Alexandra.

According to Alex police spokesperson Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha, the victim alleged that on the mentioned date she was at home with her disabled uncle, when her ex-boyfriend forcefully took her to his place.

“He grabbed her by her hand and demanded that she goes with him to his place at Stjwetla. She screamed for help but no one came to help her,” explained Mbatha.

“When they arrived at his place, he locked the door and instructed her to undress. When she refused, he forcefully undressed her and pushed her onto the bed and started to have sexual intercourse with her without protection.”

The victim said she was pushed outside the house after she was raped. This incident happened at 12.30pm but she only reported it at 10pm.

“The suspect is not arrested yet, the FCS (Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit) is still going to fetch the complainant from the doctor to go and point out the suspect.”
