NPO continues to support the unemployed youth of Alex

ALEXANDRA – Kufike-Izazi appeals to the community of Alex to assist them with projects that are in the pipeline.

Non-profit organisation Kufike-Izazi handed over vouchers worth R300 each to a number of youths of Alex to assist them with any essentials they might need.

A total of 20 vouchers were distributed by founder of the organisation Fikile Zulu on 15 October. “This is actually a continuation from the month of August where we distributed the vouchers to some of the youth. We have since provided the rest and we hope they do come in handy in terms of necessary essentials they might need,” she said.

Zulu said they received the vouchers from  local businessmen and she hoped to receive more donations from the community so she could continue with Kufike-Izazi’s mandate of combating poverty in the township. “We currently have an outstanding workshop that we wanted to host last year, but unfortunately due to insufficient funds it was not successful,” she said.

According to Zulu, the workshop will not cater to only the youth but for the community at large. “We would highly appreciate if we get sponsors for this because we really do want it to be huge and include various age groups.”
