Two police officers accused of murder appear in Alexandra Magistrates’ Court

ALEXANDRA – The mother of two, Samantha Radebe was allegedly killed by police while they were pursuing a suspect that had allegedly stolen a car in Tsutsumani on 15 January 2020.


The case of two police officers who face charges of murder and attempted murder has been postponed to 29 October 2020.

France Kganyago (36) and Redgement Chabane (42), who are out on bail, briefly appeared in Alexandra Magistrates’ Court on 9 October. The case was postponed in order for the two accused to get legal assistance.

As reported in the online Alex News article, Family of Samantha Radebe eagerly awaits the finalisation of the investigation into her murder [20 March 2020], Samantha Radebe (29) was allegedly hit by a stray bullet during a suspect chase in Tsutsumani on 15 January 2020. The family spokesperson, Morena Mathane, said, “We are confident as the family that justice will prevail for Samantha at the end of the trial.”
